O Governo da Irlanda decidiu que todas as moedas de euro irlandesas teriam a mesma face nacional. No desenho escolhido, figuram a harpa celta, símbolo tradicional da Irlanda, o ano de emissão e o nome do país em irlandês (Éire). A harpa foi desenhada por Jarlath Hayes.
